Cancelling a booking
Every listing carries its own cancellation terms, and you see them before you pay. This page explains how those terms work and what happens after you cancel.
The policy belongs to the listing
Wuhkorbor does not set one cancellation rule for the whole site. Each vendor picks a policy for their listing from the four below, and that is what governs your booking.
Read it before you pay. The policy is written on the listing page and again in the booking flow, and the moment you book it is locked to that booking — so a vendor cannot change the terms on you afterwards. Whatever was showing when you booked is what applies.
Check before you pay, not after
A non-refundable listing is usually cheaper for a reason. If your plans might move, look at what the policy says first — it is the one thing on the page you cannot renegotiate later. The four policies
The times below are counted from when your booking is due to start — check-in, the tour slot, the vehicle pickup, or the transfer pickup, depending on what you booked.
| Policy | If you cancel |
|---|---|
| Flexible | Full refund > 24h before. 50% refund within 24h. |
| Moderate | Full refund > 72h. 50% between 24–72h. No refund < 24h. |
| Strict | 50% refund > 72h. No refund within 72h. |
| Non-refundable | No guest refunds at any time before service. |
Refund percentages are worked out on the total you paid for that booking.
How to cancel
Open the booking in My Trips and choose Cancel this booking. Before you confirm, the page tells you which rule applies to you right now and what refund it works out to, in money — so you are never guessing.
You can cancel while a booking is:
- waiting on the vendor to confirm it
- pending payment
- confirmed
- checked in
Once a booking is completed, cancelled or expired, the cancel option is gone. If you have a problem with a booking that has already finished, that is a dispute rather than a cancellation — see below.
What happens after you cancel
The booking is cancelled straight away and the dates, seats or vehicle go back to the vendor. If the policy leaves you a refund, that refund is raised as an obligation on the spot and our team processes it — usually inside 5 working days.
We tell you when it has been sent, and your booking only reads refunded once the money has actually gone. Until then it will show what is owed to you and that it is being processed. We do that on purpose: a booking that says refunded while nothing has moved is worse than no message at all.
A refund goes back the way you paid. It does not land in your Wuhkorbor wallet.
If the vendor cancels on you
That is not your fault, so it is not treated like your cancellation. If a vendor cancels your booking — or we do — you are refunded in full, whatever policy the listing carried.
Vendors who cancel a confirmed booking carry a penalty on their side. That is deliberate: it is what keeps availability on Wuhkorbor honest rather than a guess.
Changing dates instead
There is no self-service date change yet. Message the vendor from the booking thread and ask — many will work with you. If they cannot, cancel under the policy on the booking and book again.
If something goes wrong
If you were charged and the booking never happened, if a refund has not arrived after the 5 working days, or if you disagree with how a cancellation was handled, do not sit on it. Open a dispute on the booking in My Trips, or write to us and attach the booking.
Money for a booking is held rather than released to the vendor the moment you pay, and only released after the stay. That window exists so a real problem can be looked at while there is still something to look at.
Vendors: setting your policy
You pick the policy when you create or edit a listing, and travellers see it before they book. Pick the one you can actually live with — a flexible policy brings more bookings, a strict one protects your calendar, and the platform will hold you to whichever you chose. You can change the policy on a listing going forward, but bookings already taken keep the terms they were made under.
